1. De-clutter – Use eBay or recycling websites to get rid of clutter and things you don't use any more. Your new life in Spain after a successful removal, is going to be very different than life in the UK so think about what you will really need in Spain.
2. Shop around – Get quotes from a few different removal companies who do removals UK to Spain. Read the small print of the quotes carefully – is insurance included? Is the insurance only valid if you use their packing service? Make sure you compare like with like.
Can you save money on the cost of your move by booking a “window” for delivery of you belongings in Spain rather than a specific date? 8. Don't pack all of your documents – Keep things like passports, driving licences, birth certificates etc. together and on you.
9. Don't leave everything behind – Many British people have regretted leaving things like tumble driers behind – you might miss it when you have a week of rain.
